HONORING CECIL CROSBY & ROY ALEXANDER


WeBeat 2007 HonoreesThe St. James Community Improvement Committee (CIC) kicked of its WeBeat activities on Saturday May 12th at the 'We Dine' dinner ceremony in honour of its 2007 Honorees, Mr. Roy Alexander and Mr. Cecil Crosby.

Well known to St. James citizens, but may not necessarily familiar to the national community, these two gentlemen are both known for their entrepreneurship as St. James developed into the bustling business center it currently is. Alexander is known as the proprietor of the popular Freddie's Bakery and Crosby as the founder of Crosby's Bicycle Shop(known in St. James in the 50's, 60's and 70's, evolving into a camera supplies store, and later the popular Crosby's Music Center, under the management of his youngest son, Earl, also the chairman of the We Beat committee.
